I was always looking for a Monaco III but once I saw that amazing green one (that I believe CM owns) I knew I would never be happy with regular ol' one. I ended up going with a Kauer Super Chief with all the switching options and it is a great guitar with many tones.
If you haven't played one and want another opinion......I have this model head & cab and it is easily the best sounding '60's-80's tone machine I have ever played. All three selectable voicings capture the distinct sound of their intended targets and can do so at bedroom, or room clearing levels with a click of the attenuators. Both clean and fuzzy tones sound amazing. I have a dozen amps and this makes more than half of them unnecessary, wish it came out sooner.
Looks like lots of good stuff traded hands in 2013!
If I had come across a Rawhide Supreme and/or a Fakimba V I would have had one or two more in 2013!
Bloozguy and Shark if those ever become sale or trade fodder let me know (and Shark I think we are CFL neighbors so it would be an easy swap )
Huber huh?
I don't think I can afford getting hooked on another must have boutique guitar company. Let me know if they go out of business, I only seem to discover special guitars after the lights have been turned off
Good thing I live a long way from BCRGreg's shop, from the pics he has posted here and on the RL forum I think he has started many addictions and I'm a sucker for a pretty neck joint.
Much more fun to talk about what people got than didn't get
