  1. Mine came in last week while I was out of town, and just opened them up now. They look and feel great, going to put them to use as soon as I finish typing this. Thanks again Chris, great job!
  2. Awesome! Just saw this thread, and sent in my order. Thanks Chris! Put me down as interested in the T-shirts as well. All my other ones are well worn at this point.
  3. Yeah, that's my one tricked out guitar. Korina body and neck, Braz board, custom color, quilt top, and ultimate purfling. Best neck and best sounding guitar I own.
  4. I need to take some current (and better) pics. Apologies for the size, Photobucket won't accept my resizing changes. '04 Elite '03 Superpro with ebony board
  5. Hey guys, haven't posted in quite a while here, but happened to check in yesterday and saw this beauty and couldn't resist. Just paid for it, now the agonizing wait begins. Duane couldn't be a nicer guy. I was in the same situation as him a year and a half ago. Had to sell some equipment, luckily no Hamers, to fund my daughters wedding. I've lusted over this guitar since the day Greg posted it up here. Always wanted a big slab o' korina with P-90's. Can't wait to compare it to my korina Standard Custom w/buckers!
  6. Sorry for your loss Marty. My condolences to you and your loved ones.
  7. Very, very nice Dave. Beautiful tops on both. Bet that matte finish looks and feels great.
  8. Damn, those 4 digits are killin me! This one is my '04. Iced tea with a korina body.
  9. Cramer, I couldn't, or should say didn't want to crank up the volume since I was in the middle of a guitar show. That would have called immediate attention to my bad playing, and sent the crowd rushing to the nearest exit, , so I honestly can't say. I will say that acoustically, it rang much louder than my SC did. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
  10. BD, I should have been a little clearer on my post. I priced a SC out with similar features, except for the headstock angle and one piece neck, and the price difference I was given, was more than a few hundred dollars. Some dealers are not discounting the TT's as much as they might other guitars, because of the exclusivity, which is fine by me. "I" couldn't justify the price difference for the other two options. Hamer is trying to appeal to the LP crowd with the TT. IMO, if they had given it a thicker body, or had a Monaco bodystyle, the "disguntled with Gibson" crowd would be all over them. I know you could order a thicker body as an option, but I would love to see them come out with a thicker bodied Elite as a standard item.
  11. Went to the Chicago vintage guitar show this past weekend, and Dave's Guitar was there with a truckload of guitars including around ten Hamers. I immediately went for the Triple Threat, and got a chance to paw it for a few minutes. It had a very nice top, finished in Iced Tea, and boy did they nail that color! Weight felt like no more than 8 pounds. I plugged it in and played it at low volumes, and it just rang. The biggest difference I could feel between the "regular" Studio Custom was the neck. Going up the neck it had more shoulders than my SC, and felt bigger. Extremely comfortable. The headstock angle was noticeable to me only after doing a side by side comparison with the Hamer next to it. String bending did seem a little stiffer than norm, but that could be because the strings were brand new. All in all, just a beautiful guitar. I know it has a lot of options, and limited availability, but at that selling price, I just can't justify the steep jump over the production Studio Custom. I did play a Monaco 3 with P-90's that just floored me. Didn't realize it could do the classic/heavy rock thing so well. Luckily it had a Bigsby. If not I might have gotten into some trouble.
  12. Awesome Jaye! I am trying to talk myself out of one. There is one at the local GC that I have gone back and played three times. It is a 97 model, with a second serial number, I am assuming from a limited run that year. It's tagged at $2199, which is too rich for my blood. You're right, these things just tear it up. They look simple but holy crap! Enjoy it! In the mean time, I will keep trying to convince myself I don't need one.
  13. Here is mine, a '03 CU 22 BLE. PRS makes wonderful guitars, with impeccable build quality. They seem to have a very consistent quality standard for a larger manufacturer. Having said that, I will be selling off this one soon, as it gets no playing time. More of a modern sounding guitar, not suited to my classic rock tastes. I know, I know, shoulda got a McCarty instead. Hamers just fit the bill better for me. Much better value, too. IMHO, I believe their Private Stock prices are insane. I did play an import SE Soapbar II like this one the other day. Sounded fantastic, and was blown away by the quality for the price.
