  1. I bought the Bacchus SG from Cynic, great to deal with. It was a bucket list guitar for me. Many thanks! That rare redwood Seventy Seven is a good deal! Especially with the Gravelins! Someone will be happy
  2. Wow to the price. I sold my Mirage 1 here for around $1,000 only a few years ago. The market seems soft with the exception of highly coveted guitars. ....and yes, I do regret letting it go...
  3. Under negotiation likely means someone already put it in their cart. I've found that well priced nice gear can go fast. The site serves as a hub for Japan music stores. When I used it, I had to sign up with their recommended shipping broker, put money in my account, and they "purchased" the guitar from the store (the first time I used the site, the guitar I wanted, a Tokai LS, had been sold and the $$ in my account was returned in full) . I was a bit nervous with the transaction feeling it seemed like a bit of a shell game, but I went ahead and tried again, this time buying a FGN LP style, and all worked out AOK. Buying from Japan does require a leap of faith. Shipping was in the $150 range.
  4. I just imported a MIJ guitar or I'd definitely be on this one... http://www.digimart.net/cat01/shop4950/DS08659661/
  5. Love those Dearmond pickups. Wish I kept mine.... . Beautiful artist. #10 flame if it were a Gibson.
  6. ZZtop 2018 summer tour, hockey arena. Brutally loud, distorted, and lots of woof woof sound. The poor sound ruined the experience of seeing one of my fav bands. Did they even do a proper soundcheck? The opening act sound was fine, but ZZ tried to blow up the speakers and our ears. I bring earplugs just in case now. I also went to see them 30 yrs prior, in an arena, George Thorogood opened, it sounded great. Somebody did the mix homework for both bands.
  7. Wow! There are some nice guitars in this thread!! I have only added one, took a chance on a new old stock FGN MIJ guitar. The Alcino 8 pickups are surprisingly mellow.
  8. I have enjoyed the Little Lanilei I bought here for much less that new. It is sort of a one trick pony type reverb, but it is certainly fun to play around with once you get use to it. http://www.mahaffayamps.com/amplifier-effects-reverb.htm
  9. Hard to believe this is still here. Is the market slowing down? A few years back there was a spruce topped standard that I wish I had jumped on. Love this guitar. GLWTS
  10. Wow! 2 artists back to back in posts for sale. This one is the same as mine. The blonde one for sale is a better deal. No veneer here...
  11. This is a good deal. I have the same model wraptail in a burst. They are getting hard to find. Someone will be very happy with their purchase..
  12. Wow Jakeboy - I agree that top is insane! What is the name for that color? If ever I have the chance to make and order it would be with that color top and three pickups. Good grief, this posting likely has alot of people taking inventory and deciding what to sell
  13. I am proud to own a USA made Hamer and Westerly made Guild. Hopefully Heritage and G&L can continue operations and don't join the rare bird end of my collection. Every time I take the Hamer out, I appreciate the quality and thought that went into it's construction. This forum really supports those who appreciate fine guitars.
  14. Nobody has mentioned Bob Dylan covers. He has written many great songs and sometimes I understand the words when he sings them, but generally they sound better by someone else. Like Hendrix's versions of "All along the Watchtower" and "Like a Rolling Stone " (live version). Also GnR's version of Knockin on Heaven's Door .......lots to pick from with Dylan.
