Anyone looking for a Cruise bass project?

Considering the amount of work this neck needs at both ends, I really don't know if the current asking price is even worth it, but I figured I'd throw this up as an FYI.  If nobody bids I may offer a borderline-insulting amount just to see what happens.  It could be a fun project with the end result being a good playing bass with virtually no resale value.

This would be a much simpler project had it not been "fixed" already. It might be a pill to undo the "fix" depending on what adhesives were employed. 

To the plus side, those cases are pretty hard to come by; the truss rod covers even more so.

  My 1982 1st generation Cruisebass looks equally as worn & dinged as that bass minus the damaged headstock. I sure want that OEM hardshell case though.

Bass went unsold.  He relisted it and I put in a low offer that he hasn't responded to yet (and probably won't).  I guess we'll see!
