Ham Rex Posted January 22, 2025 Posted January 22, 2025 I had purchased the guitar. Their were string divots in the last 4 or 5 frets which were repaired. The pickups are Dimarzio Stacked single coils. The Bridge is out of phase but there is a pot and Cap that brings the volume up when Bridge and Mid is selected. It feels and plays great. There are belt divots on the back. There are just a hand full or two of Hamers with rectangle markers. Very unique guitar.
Ham Rex Posted January 22, 2025 Posted January 22, 2025 I had returned it because, for me, I would have to swap out all the pickups. I didn't have Stacked SDs at the time but I do now. I have a few different bridge pickups to try but I'm paying off on another guitar for my collection, I was super lucky to have someone offer me. Once that's paid off and home. I revisit the Jeff Thall and see if they'll accept payments. The manager said he would for me but then the other guitar came up so I told him I might see him in a couple months. Weird thing about all this is I bought 3 PAF guitars from GC including this Jeff Thall. All the cases were mixed up. Now I have all the correct cases with the correct guitars. The MYS is in a LP type Hamer case with MYS written on it that the Jeff Thall was shipped in. The Elite TLE is in the rectangle case with the registration card the MYS was shipped in. And the Jeff Thall back in a LP type case the TLE was shipped in. All the cases were labeled wrong by GC when PAF Sold the guitars. Now all cases are back with the correct guitars.
