That's not all it ended, apparently.

So Perry's excuse for hitting Navarro is that he was playing too loud.  OK, I'll play along.

Don't they have a sound guy?

The FOH (or the monitor mixer) can't control the onstage volume of the amps unless he has the authority to set their levels at soundcheck. If the entire band uses in-ears, then stage volume is not an issue. If not, players can always ask for more level through the wedges. Or, be a dick and just blast louder than than everything else.

Maybe DN is one of those, "I gotta feel the volume rattling my skeleton", type of players?

Ok - I don't know any of your fancy jargon. We don't have any of that in Madison Square Basement.

Sure, it could be Navarro is one of those "volume in the skeleton" guys.  Or it could be that Perry Farrell is the fucking wacko he has always been reported to be.

I'm no lawyer, and I don't play one in real life, but we've all seen the video of PF assaulting DN on stage in Boston.
That's going to weigh pretty heavily in both cases, I would think, both for DN and against PF.

The clash of gargantuan egos comes to a head (Navarro/Farrell, not RobB/Kiz...), possibly fueled by road fever and illegal substances.

Never liked Jane's, anyway...

Any rock guitarist who does now want "volume in the skeleton" is not fit to call themselves a rock guitarist. Yees, bands suing each other for playing to loud. It's truly the end of the era of Rock N Roll.
