Steve Haynie Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 My friends and I accidentally ended up with two extra tickets for the Steve Morse Band / Angel Vivaldi in Charlotte on October 14th. Is anyone interested in some third row tickets?
ZR Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 Always Steve with the Tix! I'd love to go having not ever seen him live except with Deep Purple. I love his band's music so this concert would be great. We have a couple from my old stomping grounds of CA coming into town for a visit 2 days later and we just moved and have so much to do that leaving then could be problematic. I'm sure you'll have a great time! If nobody steps up keep me in mind closer to the show and we'll see how things are going then. Hopefully someone else will be able to go. I just read this... How is Steve Morse's wife doing? AI Overview Steve Morse's wife, Janine Morse, passed away on February 4, 2024, after a battle with cancer. She had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and was in remission for a time, but the cancer returned aggressively, according to Steve Morse's Facebook post. Steve Morse had previously stepped away from Deep Purple to care for her during her illness.
geoff_hartwell Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 I love Steve Morse as a guitarist and person. He was always a brilliant musician who put the guitar down and cut his hair to become an airline pilot because he beat himself up about taking care of his kids and family… That’s a tough guy, to me. And still had so much music in his head that he came back to lead fkn Kansas and Deep Purple as well as his own amazing music. Mad Love and respect for this guy ❤️
Steve Haynie Posted August 15, 2025 Author Posted August 15, 2025 @ZR you can see Steve Morse at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta on Monday, October 13th.
Steve Haynie Posted August 15, 2025 Author Posted August 15, 2025 OK. So go see The Redd Volkaert Trio in Asheville tomorrow night. He plays a different style, but his playing is amazing.
ZR Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 Thanks for the recommendation. We're in Denver now visiting our 5th grandchild. Then to Vegas for the Scorpions show. I'll keep him in mind.
ZR Posted September 14, 2025 Posted September 14, 2025 Such a badass!! Great band. New album in November.
