'57 Strat at Elderly

Wow, They don't get much better than that. Even the case is minty, you almost never see the original metal tag in the corner. At the current market prices I don't need to own it, but I sure would like to borrow it for a week, just love the V necks.

:D

What kills me is there was a store in everett,wa close to where I lived called danny's music. He had a 58 strat for $8000. Had a 62, never been played for $10,000. I went to the store one day and it was gone. Sign on door said He had been killed in a car accident. I kick myself for not buying that 58 and I really miss danny.

This really makes me feel like I ought to just pull the Visa trigger on the $7,500 Parker I'm jonesing for. Chump change in comparison.

If I had that much cake to drop on a guitar, it would be the refinned '58 V at Gruhn's. $45K for a bolt-on? *shudder* No offense anyone- I just don't get along with bolt-on necks.

I'm sure as an investment piece you probablly can't go wrong with that but anytime I see a guitar like that all I can think about is Nigel and that Bass VI,"Don't even look at it!". If I had that kinda cash to spend on A guitar ( specificlly one I was going play, not lock in a vault ) I don't think I would. I refuse to belive any vintage guitar sounds and plays X thousands of dollars better than good new stuff but then again I can't hear the difference in battery brands so what the fuck do I know?
