stgabriel Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 See it here.I haven't seen one of these in a really long time.
anotherfreak2 Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I wonder why it is @$4.00 more to ship it in the case (another$30 add on)that would definately be a cool guitar to play!edited to add:What does it mean "contact me with your offers" can you sell something "off ebay" that is listed and getting bid on?sorry for the stupid questions and the derailing, but ebay fascinates me.
Punkavenger Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 ol' "Ricardo bicardi" sounds a bit off to me >>> So who knows what he's talking about!? cool guitar, even though I'm not overly found of those graphics ... midnight blue metallic would be awesome on that gitbox!
andrew m Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Okay, this is the deal,,,I was just notified by E bay that bidding ended on this guitar because it is no longer available. Tseller and he said that he was offered a SUBSTANTIAL amount from someone affiliated with the Hamer Factory in Illinois. Very strange because this guitar was to be looked at in person from a member on this board who lives in the sellers area. Punk avenger? I think you are right,,Ricardo Bicardi does sound a bit off.
Punkavenger Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 ya gotta use common sense on ebay ... if something seems weird ... walk away!whats the old saying? "plenty of fish in the sea" ?if you just HAVE to have something ... ask for a telephone # if they won't talk to you in person, something is up
sw686blue Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I was going to see the guitar tomorrow at noon. I'll e-mail the seller to see what happened.
andrew m Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Have the beavers escaped? I hope not ,Lou. Kind of had my heart set on that box of beaver tails that Nick was going to send me. O in the very least something to pick my teeth with.
sw686blue Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I was getting excited too. It's not my style of guitar but it's hard to deny the cool factor.
stgabriel Posted August 31, 2006 Author Posted August 31, 2006 I knew this one would not last long...
Sitamoia50 Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Man, I'd love to know just how much he was offered. When I saw that listed something just told me that auction wasnt going the distance. Didnt surprise me at all when he took it off. Ive always had a thing for the SS's ever sinse I first saw them back in the 80's (hence my recent Zebra Special for an SS1 trade). I just drooled when I saw that beauty then I drooled some more. I'm actually working on getting another. I just think they have a look and sound all there own.........sw686blue,I agree the cool factor is extremly high on that one. Wish you had gotten to see it and give a little review on it.
Punkavenger Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Thought your zebra special was cooler, man!
Sitamoia50 Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Thought your zebra special was cooler, man! Argh!!, Please don't tell me that. Don't get me wrong, I liked the Zebra special a lot. The only guitar i would have traded it for was an SS1, and that is because I have wanted one forever and never owned one so i figured it was about time. If it werent for the SS1 I would never have gotten rid of the Zebra . Believe me I still think about it, Like should I have or should I not have traded. Your not helping!!!!!! LOL!
Punkavenger Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I can relate ... I already miss the 93 archtop goldtop gt I just traded ... (I am very happy with the Jackson I traded it for, however) I guess once ya got 'em you should keep 'em!
Sitamoia50 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 I can relate ... I already miss the 93 archtop goldtop gt I just traded ... (I am very happy with the Jackson I traded it for, however) I guess once ya got 'em you should keep 'em! Cool, what kind of Jackson did you get for it? Ive always wanted a soloist (another guitar on my want list). Actually, just a few weeks back I picked up an '87 Charvel Model 5 which is basically Charvel's version of the Jackson soloist. Fantastic neck on em'
Punkavenger Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 custom shop Jackson/Charvel surfcaster/outcaster from Peedenmark7 sounds really rockin' with the ebony fretboard and JB in the bridge
peedenmark7 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 that is a very nice one off charvel ! I loved the overall playability and sound.great fret job on that one. well I suppose it has to be being a pro players piece!its very comfortable to sit with, but I couldnt get used to it while standing...
Punkavenger Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Thats funny John ... !I've been playing it standing ... slung really low ... It feels awkward sitting/playing to me(I'm only 5'11, but I have long arms, maybe that has something to do with it!)I can see how a Ministry industrial style of music could come from this axe however...
peedenmark7 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 kinda odd this stevens having block inlays.
andrew m Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 kinda odd this stevens having block inlays. Hey you are right. I just rechecked it. what is with those? usually they are the crowned. Mnnnn The mystery deepens.
