BruceM Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 BruceM-I typed like 5 or so responses to this, and deleted them all, but my real answer is just "no, I don't believe in reverb." Take that as you will. It's MOSTLY your fault that I don't like it anymore See ya Friday-hahahahaa! Excellent! My work in this thread is done.
gregc Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Recording or playing at home, alone, yes! Playing with a group, live, no. I do use some delay live though to fatten things up when necessary.gregc
BLuesBuster Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Nope, I never use reverb unless I turn up the knob by mistake.
pesocaster Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 For clean tones it is a must .... However I only use a small amount.... and even less with overdrive... Just adds a little depth...
Pete Galati Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 I used to use reverb, but now I just find that it interferes with my playing. If I can't make the notes ring without reverb, then my playings obviously off that day. It's an effect I don't use.I do agree that the old Fender spring reverbs sounded pretty good when the amps were played clean, but I'm not into clean sounds that much.I do have an old Furman spring reverb, and if I ever start recording myself again, I'm sure I'll use something like that to keep the sound from being too dry, but I don't like that sound in my amp.Pete
Jeff R Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 I enjoy a little reverb but I don't use it lately because my JCM 900's reverb sounds like shiit most of the time.I use a light and quick delay in the loop for soloing.
