serial Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Great sounding guitar, I just don't use it enough lately. Three holer in factory trans green. I've only seen two of these ever. Can take more pics of it if anyone's interested, but I need to make room for two more cases, so I've got two more guitars to move and this is one that seems to have some appeal. The last one that I saw sold (Chris' Guitars?) for almost $1100-I'm not looking for that (unless someone wants to offer that out of the gate, of course!). Feel free to email me with a reasonable offer-I'm not sure what an appropriate selling price is. I probably overpaid, but it's a very cool guitar and a rare finish. Here's a pic that I had handy...it goes well with PBR.
holLoWskull Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Cool guitar....looks identical to mine! I picked up the one from Chris at chrisguitars earlier this year and you're right, I paid almost $1,100 (actually $1,050), so your not the only one to pay a small ransom for the lure of emerald green over spruce! Chris is local for me so I went there with the intent of trying to get it down to around $900, but after playing it I knew it had to be mine. Seemed crazy steep $$ at the time, especially when I believe Peter was selling the same guitar last year for a few hundred less then Chris got me for, but it's such a great guitar that even if someone pays that much (or more) for your's, they'll still be getting a guitar that is worth every penny for it's tone, playability, and versatility as well as the collectibility of it (Chris said that he knew of 3 factory finished trans-green 3-hole Duotones in existence, but 2 could very well be the correct number). Good luck with the sale, this one shouldn't take too long to find a new home. BTW, is your green Duotone incredibly light too? I know people probably won't believe this, but my green Duotone weighs in a little under 5 1/2 lbs! I wouldn't believe it possible, but I've checked it a few times. Maybe these green ones were special order and got some wood with low moisture content? Semi-hollow or not, that's light! Actually Steve, any interesting info you may have on the green Duotones would be greatly appreciated...please e-mail me if you have any info on these rare birds. Anyway folks, here's your chance to get one of the only other trans green 3-holers made....awesome guitars and should be in every gigging musician's stable!
serial Posted November 27, 2006 Author Posted November 27, 2006 Didn't get a chance to shoot pics for fleabay yet-too busy this weekend. Before I list this one, I'd rather sell it here. I can take $800 for this one. Paypal ok-email me if interested. Thanks.

McT51 Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Steve, if this guitar is still available, have you taken any more pictures of it? I little Celtic voice inside my head is directing me to find a green guitar. Thanks, Ian McMillan
