I know this sounds trite, but I like my Orange Sparkle. The binding is starting to age and it just a groovin guitar.

the nat top and tortoise binding sounds like it would look cool.

Wish I could afford the f-hole binding too.

Sadly, and VERY Sadly indeed, they are no longer doing sparkle finishes nor finishes with sparkle in them.

No pearls either, from what I've heard - directly from the source...

You will not go wrong with a Newport in pretty much ANY color.

mine's finished in Vintage Natural.. Little by little, it's darkening a bit. These are photos when it was spanking new... the wood (front and back) are exceptional examples of spruce and mahog.

If I were doing it all over again, I'd be really tempted to go trans red. I've seen quite a few pieces at the last HFC event last year (trans red on spruce, AND trans red on mahog).. It really jumps. I'm thinking Aztec Gold would look trick also. And I'm betting the Vintage Orange looks great. Solid colors.. whole nother story. black is friggin super classy (not sure they still would do that)... and the new gold they're shooting is absolutely super! choices choices choices!
