ZR Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Got it! Thanks!!Does anyone know why Doug Aldrich is listed as the guitarist but is NOT in even ONE of the pictures? Plenty of Sarzo, Dio, drummer but not one of the guitarist? Just thought it was strange. Was it some weird money thing?Anyway, just did a short preview and the sound and pic is nice. I'll need to check it out some more.

Goldie had some "issues"/relapse..Doug had just finished a prior stint in Dio and was on a tour break from Whitesnake and took the call to come in and pinch hit.

They talk about him having to fill in on a moments notice in the interview section of the DVD. He said he didn't even have his own back line and used Goldies setup which he was unfamiliar with. Makes his performance even that much more impressive. Its amazing how Dio still belts it out so good and he's what around mid 60's? He doesn't have quite the range he used to but still very impressive.BTW- Kevin I ran into one of your fellow south Georgians last weekend at the Guitarwar meetup, great dude.
Brooks Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 check out the dvd extras on tenacious d's pick of destiny.dio comes in and nails his stuff all in like 2 takes; the D and the producer/hangers-on are all speechless w/ jaws agape. the guitarist falls over!btw, ipod's blasting "heaven & hell" right now! "fool fool!!! look for the answer!!!!!"...
