Phat Cats or Z-90 for a Korina Vector?

I'm still contemplating a pickup change for my Korina Vector. Generally speaking, I prefer P-90s to humbuckers.

I know I like the phat cats in my Newport.

For a Vector, Phatcats or Z-90? Why?

Thanks.

YMMV, but I'd probably go for the Z90s as everybody is raving about them (and I am pretty curious to try 'em out as well...).

Why not consider some other options? e.g. Bill Lawrence L490/495 or Rio Grande Bastards?

FWIW I have a BL 490/495 combo on my Newport Pro and love it. YMMV of course, and a Vector is a different guitar.

If you like P-90s, then the HD Z90s are not probably what you want. They are more like big sounding strat pups, vice P-90s.

I asked the same thing on the gear page, and got a lot of thumbs up for the Gibson P-94. I'm not a big Gibbie fan now, but I will probably give them a whirl in the near future myself.

Not to be a wet blanket, but I've heard more bad and "meh" than good about the P-94.

Kent Armstrong also makes a HB-size P-90, but I forget the model number. There's also the Fralin P-92.

I wouldn't overlook Pete Biltoft's Vintage Vibe humbucker-sized P-90's either. A set came with an import Studio I got and they have a unique voice. I like 'em, and a boatload cheaper than some of the others.
