currypowder Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 First up is a 1999 Gretsch Silver Jet with Bigsby tremelo an upgraded TV Jones pickups (original pickups included). Excellent condition. A great guitar that can go from Rockabilly to flat out rock. I have a similar Koll on the way and I need to make room. Most of the Gretsch's that I've played have necks that are thin, but not this one. Very comfortable. One of my favorite features of this Gretsch is the control layout. It has the control layout of a 57 reissue, with 2 pickup volume knobs, 1 master volume, 1 tone knob and 1 pickup switch. It doesn't have that tone switch that many Gretsch's come with. Stays in tune great. OHSC and pickups included. $1,250 shipped. and paypal'd. Every few years or so I convince myself that I need an acoustic and pick one up. But the fact is that I don't need one and never play it, so it just sits around. With the short scale, it's easy to play. It has a very nice and deep tone. It's a great acoustic for anyone who plays primarily electric. The reviews are uniformly positive. Taylor no longer makes these and they are fairly difficult to find. It's in mint condition (I can't find a mark on it) and comes with the original hard shell case. $1,450 shipped.
