WTB: proto-2 w/sus block or sus trem

Probably be tough to find-they were spec'd standard with a Kahler, although I've seen one with a Floyd. Never seen one w/a sustain block trem and don't recall one w/a sustain block, but it's Hamer, so anything is possible. Probably easier to find a Proto and add the neck pickup (I've got a proto II guard in my parts stash if you didn't want to deface an original Proto guard!).

part of the fun was finding out that this one had an original Hamer USA logo case in brown - never saw one of them before. still not sure if it is original because the route for the neck pickup was after the paint but it is real clean almost like a template was used. the neck pickup matches the single coil in the bridge triplecoil, so if it wasn't factory at least they did a clean job and got the correct pickup from Hamer. The angle on the neck pickup appears reversed but about the same as those infamous 'Double-coils' that were sold on the German market (those were nice!). This one is an '82, and a pretty cool match to my emerald 2FIG Phantom Custom.

got it the same day I found that 81 Sunburst bound and crowned in greenburst with the wide fingerboard. yeah, that was a good day.

not really for sale, but just a PSA to let you know there might be something out there that fits the bill. With the Hamer of old, it's not so much ' did they ever make [x]?' it's more 'they did, but where the heck did that one go?'
