TNC2 Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Im considering selling my vintage 8 string...I have 2 12s and another 8 so I really dont need it, I have some other bass wants, like a Eastman Club, Ampeg bass, Rickenbacker 3000, Gibson Ripper... thought I would offer it if someone is looking for an 8 or something old from Hamer to collect.I'll prob put it on fleaBay soon just to see what happens so if there is anyone that is SERIOUS contact me now. If it doesnt sell "oh well".its the green machine below, headstock fixed and refin'd in the original aged blue silver color by Marty Bell. logo and the paint on the head, electronics (passive-active, LED works, 2X X2N pups= big boom boom), bridge/tp are original plus original short hard case.its a 4 digit, 81. heres old post links to pics, make sure you look at both pages for pics that are posted all through the post.http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.p...mp;hl=hamer+b8st
marcnorth Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 It would be easier if you would just say how much you want for it.
TNC2 Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 It would be easier if you would just say how much you want for it. $1300 obo
marcnorth Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Sure wish I had the cash for it. I think thats a great looking bass. You don't ever see a 4 digit bass come up for sale.
TNC2 Posted October 17, 2007 Author Posted October 17, 2007 really the only other Hamer I have interest in is a 4 string b4s...going to ebay tonight...thanks,t
marcnorth Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 You'll do better on ebay than you would here anyway.
polara Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 *lust*Having just bought a B8S two weeks ago I think I should slow the acquisition rate.
TNC2 Posted October 18, 2007 Author Posted October 18, 2007 yeah thats my prob I gots too many basses and Im starting to play more 4 string in the band now that we added a guitar player.for the folks asking for more pics ummmmmmmm I posted a butt load already over on the other thread just follow the link and check those out...my camera sucks and Im not taking anymore.
marcnorth Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 The ones from the other thread are from before the refinish. Here's some I got from another website.
kenjones Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 If it sells I think marcnorth might be owed a commission!
cmatthes Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Did Marty reshoot/redecal the headstock face? I forgot...
polara Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Off topic, but who did the work on that bass? My Veillette Citron is in similar abused shape and needs that kind of work...
marcnorth Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I think the front of the headstock is the original paint and logo.
cmatthes Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Marty Bell. He does INCREDIBLE work.www.martybellfinishing.com
