Pieman Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 What used to be a nice place to window shop has been largely out of commision for about 6-8 weeks. No way to run a railroad, I guess. Anybody know what's up with that.
phoenix Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I spoke to them yesterday and today, they are still loading inventory. Plus they are currently upgrading the original store. The site will be improving DAILY according to Bob and the Hamer inventory including the earthen maple run will be the next to go up. The website completion date is roughly 6 months.
Sentinel Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I spoke to them yesterday and today, they are still loading inventory. Will they keep the "sold" guitars pictures as before? As of right now they only use ONE picture for each guitar and just small ones... and ONLY new guitars are being shown...not looking to be any improvement so far... All those photos were a daily source of joy as well as the "new" guitar pics...! It was like the world's greatest bank of Hamer pics... I feel sad not being able to browse all that 'porn'...!
phoenix Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 The pics are being redone because they haven't been turning out the way they wanted. E-mail them about all that interests you. I was only talking to them about 2 Hamer factory repairs and a vintage bass I have consigned. my 2 cents is not an official report.
Pieman Posted February 6, 2008 Author Posted February 6, 2008 The Hamer inventory has been added. IMHO, the new website is horrible and a shadow of its former version. Cluttered presentation. Cheesy, dinky photos that don't scale well on my monitor. None of the size and detail that once made it a great site for all kinds of products. Can't seen any of the flame that you saw in the old photos. These photos won't be selling anything. Bad move. Wildwood and Dave's Guitars - - don't follow suit.Check it for yourself.
