Travis Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Here's the deal, my new Talladega is the finest guitar I've ever played. I am getting another one. That's it. First up is a 94 T-51 with stock Duncans. SOLD!!!!! Next up is an absolute monster of a player. My 95 Studio FM. SOLD!!!! Last one for now is my 83 Vector. This thing is a player. It's got the sustain block trem bridge that has been 100% blocked and is as stable as a true fixed bridge. It's definitely in player's condition as it has it's fair share of bumps and bruises. Otherwise it is all original and plays like a beast. The stock DiMarzios through my 5150 do a killer early Judas Priest and the neck pickup does shred leads like butter. Back down on them a little and they clean up just like any good PAF style pickup. Comes with hard case that someone with some "art" sense had his way with. It's definitely unique looking, but it's as solid a hard case as you'll get. $500 Cash is king. Postal Money orders 2nd. Paypal is fine, I'll even split the fees. Personal check is ok if you want to wait for it to clear.
kurtsstuff Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 What's the weight on the T-51?lighter than you.....BAHAHAHAHAHAHA......

Travis Posted February 7, 2008 Author Posted February 7, 2008 I'll get a weight on the trusty bathroom scale when I get home tonight.
Travis Posted February 8, 2008 Author Posted February 8, 2008 The T-51 weighed in at exactly 8 pounds on my bathroom scale. However, I cannot vouch for its accuracy. I set the scale to 0 and placed the T-51 on. The needle landed directly on the 8 pound hash mark. Whenever I weigh myself on it, I always give a plus or minus 5 pounds. So, the T-51 definitely weighs anywhere between 3 and 13 pounds.
Travis Posted February 8, 2008 Author Posted February 8, 2008 I got permission from the previous owner to use his pics of the T-51. So here are a few. I've got more so if anyone wants to see them, just let me know.
MCChris Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 That Special FM is sweet. The mid-to-late-'90s double cuts are my favorite Hamers. Someone buy this before Travis wises up and keeps it!
wlm50 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Travis, What is the neck profile on the T51? I have one with a neck that is a bit larger than a medium C, and I'd prefer to find a T51 with a chunkier neck. Thanks. Bill I got permission from the previous owner to use his pics of the T-51. So here are a few. I've got more so if anyone wants to see them, just let me know.
Travis Posted February 9, 2008 Author Posted February 9, 2008 I would definitely call this neck a medium C. It's very comfortable, but definitely not what I would call chunky. The necks on my 94 Mirage I, 94 T-51, 95 Special FM and 97 Standard Mahogany are all very similar. The 83 Vector has a slimmer profile and my Artist Korina with the vintage carve is much more substantial. The mid 90's guitars I have all lie somewhere in the middle of vintage chunky and shredder thin.
DavidE Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I want it. Pm sentYou're lucky I didn't trust his bathroom scale! :-)Enjoy
cloakerz Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Due to paypal difficulties this has had it's bumps, But I must say travis is awesome! He has been real easy to deal with. thanks!
