Very cool, but I'll warn you - that would be like slinging an aircraft carrier around your neck if it's the long scale version! I had a Standard 8 string that sounded and played great, but was nearly impossible to use on smaller stages. How that headstock missed getting major cymbal slashes or goring bandmates I have no idea...

Yeah, you are absolutely right about the aircraft carrier analogy. It hadn't occurred to that this is most likely a 34" scale. I would MUCH rather have a shorty or a medium scale. Don't much care for EMGs either.

Agreed that the short or medium scale Standard 8s and 12s are much more manageable.

Stonge has custody of one right now that seems to work much better for me.

I agree about EMGs on a guitar but I have 'em in my Cruisebass and that thing is a MONSTER! Incredible sound.

I am not a fan of EMGs in most settings, but for some basses (four strings) they work better than anything else. I have a set in my Impact and some in my FBIV and they sound great. I didn't like them as much in my B08M though, so I got a set of Rio Pitbulls.
