Feynman Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I have tried many whizbang practice devices, but I always come back to this one. Very easy to use, decent sounding effects, built in drum/bass tracks, metronome, phrase trainer, tuner, etc., etc. I personally think this older guitar-dedicated one seems better than the newer guitar/bass combo unit. It is quite well used, and has some surface cosmetic wear (light scratches), but it works perfectly and comes in handy all the time. I have two, thinking I could use a spare. Another dumb idea of mine. I don't even NEED one, let alone two. Includes an original Korg AC adapter as well. Ebay auctions vary on this one, but about the lowest I have seen was $75 without an AC adapter. How about $70 shipped? Thanks. -mitch
seeker Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Congrats!Whew, took all my will power not to snag this one.Have been hankering for a backup, but like Master Mitch, my main one has been rock steady. I too have tried all kinds of other ones, including Korgs latest version, the PX-5, and none can beat the PX-4. Period. Have had mine on, except during power outages, for five years straight. Always has the latest looped chord progression/riff I'm working on in RAM.
DavidE Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Those are cool and have more features than a pocket pod. I would have been all over it if it took 9v power!
ET_KenW Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I used to have a PX2 but sold it when I purchased my Digitech RP300. Since I keep a guitar here in a store room here at work, this is the perfect little practice amp. The metronome and rhythm settings will make me focus a little more instead of just mindless noodling. I do enough of that as it is.
