Stike Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 8 weeks? You gotta be sick of eatin' at Iron Skillets huh?
RkR Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 I'm about an hour and a half north of Birmingham, and about 2 hours out of Memphis!
Cary Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 I'm only about 5 hours southeast of Gary, Indiana. Give a honk next time you swing thru!
mudshark Posted March 5, 2005 Author Posted March 5, 2005 8 weeks? You gotta be sick of eatin' at Iron Skillets huh? Heh.............actually, about the only thing I can eat at the Iron Skillet any more is the salad bar buffet. I can't hardly hack truck stop chow these daze, and I mostly use the old microwave and pack a cooler and eat right there on the truck. About the only time I go to truck stops is for fuel, showers, and to scale loads. I think I'm gettin' too old to suck down them plates of grease at the Iron Skillet.
mudshark Posted March 5, 2005 Author Posted March 5, 2005 I'm only about 5 hours southeast of Gary, Indiana. Give a honk next time you swing thru! Will do, bro; I went across Indiana and Ohio on 80 en route to Tunkhannock....haha.........hauled a load of toilet paper from Green Bay to Pennsylvania! Toll roads'll eatcha alive out thataway!!
mudshark Posted March 5, 2005 Author Posted March 5, 2005 well, TG and I are within 15 miles of Denver (at least my job is). probably the most intense part of the whole road trip was going over Loveland Pass outside of Frisco on 70. I couldn't go thru the tunnel because I had a hazmat load...........my butt was munchin' holes in the seat all the way up and down!!! It was pretty wild..........snow boarders would shoot across the road in front of the truck!!!
mudshark Posted March 5, 2005 Author Posted March 5, 2005 I worked in Shreveport for five years.Mother-in-law lives outside of Memphis in Bartlett. Father-in-law lives outside of Tulsa in Broken Arrow. I've delivered at the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory in Broken Arrow.
