tralfax19645 Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Hi, Just to let the VAC owners know, there is a pretty nice review of these amps in the June Tonequest report. This is for the 08 model, if you are not getting the same results with your amp, it can be updated. Any amp made before 03/07 would have to be sent back to me for the upgrades. After 03/07 there is a small reverb upgrade that you can do yourself without sending back here. Even on the non reverb amps, there is 1 resister value that would need changed. All amps made or upgraded after 1/08 are all good. Amps with a mid control on the front run $50, no mid control on the front is $100(plus return shipping). All I need is the amp chasis to do it for you. Rob

seeker Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Cool. Would really like to play the 08 model!I just did the last (Allwood) mod to my Hayseed 30 (EF86 option). LORDY, it was good before but it's now stunning. Voxy chime is better than before and the EF86 is 3D crunch city. Jumpering the two channels with a y-connector is wondorous.
