  1. Hi, Yes we will be there, along with LA chick rockers "Ladysmith", who will be doing some tunes at our demo site around 1 or 2 pm. (also will have some sweeeet deals on the demo amps as well, I dont want to pay to ship them back home, come and get them!!!!!) Rob By the way Belgian, CW will have her amp next week.
  2. Mine was a p 90 studio gold top. What a great guitar, instantly became my no 1. No pics but Im sure you know what those look like anyway
  3. Im in. Are you going to have a song list? Some delivery from Brunos??? Rob
  4. Hi, You HAVE to have the footswitch ON before the overdrive boost works. The click is the bright switch for channel 1. I can fix the whole thing between $25 and $50, plus the return shipping,or you can drop it off if you are up this way. Rob
  5. Hi, I dont know what the store owner could be talking about. Never made a special voiced amp other than the normal evolution the amp went through, unless it had been modded by someone other than me. You can add the switch for the hyper gain but the amp has to be at the 08 spec to put it on. (the 08 spec amp started 3 / 07) $50 plus return shipping for the mod. Rob
  6. Hi Bluesking, I got your e mail but not sure how to return it so ill just post here. I would make sure the amp has the F mod. Makes all the difference. You can also ask teefus about the adjustable OT freq response pot, it will help match those blue pup 10s to the amp better, they sounded bright to me as most 10s do with the amp, took a long time to figure out how to get it to work right with any ten using the existing OT. This is really a non issue on the amps with a 12,although to me it gives a little nicer top end especially clean, and not as much compression, when the amp is totally cranked. Bruce 919s amp sounded fine with the fixed filter with those cel 10 s his amps has though. I would be glad to do whatever it needs. Rob
  7. Hi Tom, I dont know about the amps but this thing looks really well built. Pihr pots and seimens relays, dont look like they cut corners on these. The reason I love this preamp so much it sounds EXACTLY like a Valvetech original amp,has great clean to full bore overdrive.Of course they dont do the power tube crunch tone, but everything else. As soon as I got it fired up I thought to myself,I heard this sound before !!!!! Only they beat me to it by about 15 years. Rob
  8. Hi, A scored a killer preamp today, Its a Kitty Hawk Quattro. I saw it on e bay listed as broken,(got it CHEEEP) and I remember GP giving this unit rave reveiws in the 80s (I think). They were 1k+ new,if I remember right. It took a little TLC to get it going, but man I have to say it smokes. Its going to need some new pots and such, but this is a definate keeper. No midi at all but it is still 4 very useable modes. All tube, no op amps or clipping diodes. Glad I hung onto my peavey midipro. Rob
  9. Hi, What about a boogie quad preamp? Or a fender RPG-1, if you can ever find one ,which I cant, but if i ever do I am gonna buy it. Rob
  10. Hi, I always liked the tension chords. like a good ol c major with a d note for the bass, then resolve it into a g major. Sounds nice. Rob
  11. Hi Teefus, I did not go to the Indy show after all, Ikebe that distributes my amps in Japan decided to just come here so they could wind up the amps with out the volume restrictions you would have in the covention center. Also,I decided to go to the Tampa tone fest next month and really didnt want to try to swing both events so close together. Those guys said the show was kinda lame overall, so it does not sound like i missed much. Rob
  12. Hi, If I remember right I saw him only use 3 guitars. A very worn gibby hollowbody, blonde with most of the clearcoat wore of it. Killer tone with that one. A PRS with tiger stripes that just sounded muddy. The last one he used a LP all done up in american flag, he did a version of Hendrix star spangled banner on Tks grand finale. Teds stage was the exact same stage set up as the earlier pic on this thread. As far as amps, there were a bunch of PV 5150s ontop of some cabs but none appeared to be hooked up. His main amp in his rack was a head of somesort, the only logo on it was his signature Ted Nugent script. I got a pretty good look at it, and I think it could have just been for show too. Probably his real rig was under the stage in an iso cab, I really do not know for sure. I know he also used a pedal for most of his solos. He also added ".com" to his stage banner.
  13. Hi, Toby (as always) was kick ass country. I also had a press/photo pass to get right in front of the stage with the concert video guys to take the pics for my website. Got great shots of Ted and Toby and Joey. Really cool people. He did all his standards( love this bar ,little more action american soldier) but one of the best parts was the "bus songs segment". The first concert set I EVER saw with fukkin URINALS on it !!!! Rob
  14. Hi, Toby Keith was in town last night, as since his guitarist is a Valvetech user, I got my yearly free tickets and passes for the show. Got some great pics that will be one the wesite soon. This year Ted Nugent was the opener, and I dont give a shit about what you think of the guys politics ( and the right wing agenda was in full force all night !) he can play his ass off, and his band is just 3 piece, and even when Ted was doing his famous exended guitar solos it still sounded full. The guy has that great signature midrangey tone with the gibson hollowbody, not so good with the tiger striped PR$ Great White Buffalo is still one of my all time favorite guitar riffs. He's gettin a bit long in the tooth but he still sounds like he did in 78,the first time I saw him in the same arena. Rob
