FretFire Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 As good as this guitar looks/sounds/plays I just haven't bonded with it. The fact that this is the last guitar I reach for after my new strat and my partsocaster (and that every other Gibson-esque guitar I've owned has been sold off) has just confirmed that I'm a Strat guy! So, rather than holding onto a great guitar like this and not playing it, I'd like to offer it up for someone else. Mid-90's model Studio wraptail in natural, serial #645200. Bought recently from a fellow HFCer. Possibly a 1-piece mahogany body (I can't spot the seams if not), thick maple cap, mahogany neck with a nice chunky profile. Rosewood fretboard, Schaller tuners, strap lock-ready buttons (lock assembly for your strap included). I installed a Duncan Custom 5 in the bridge and a Jazz bridge in the neck. This guitar is in EXTREMELY good shape, with just a couple of minor cosmetic issues. I'll try to capture pictures of anything I can. There are no dings or scratches through the paint, and no "Hameritis" at the neck joint. Also included is a Pigtail lightweight aluminum tailpiece that literally just came in the mail today. I ordered it on June 2, and it arrived today. It's intonatable, unlike the stock unit, and is a drop-in replacement. Will ship in the OHSC as well. Price drop!! $800 shipped CONUS, Paypal or USPS money order. Here's a link to all the pictures, with a few selections below: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v663/FretFire/Hamer/Sale/
FretFire Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 Tummy cut?Yep! Hopefully I captured that in one of the pictures, there's 15-20 total on the page I linked to.
Caddie Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 IIRC all Studios have a single piece mahog body and a tummy cut. The Studio Customs also have a single piece mahog body but they do not have a tummy cut. The Customs have all the gingerbread. Crown (now Victory) fretboard markers, body & fretboard binding. TOM bridges only, no wraptails.Did I get that right?caddie
FretFire Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 I should mention that I'm not really interested in any trades at the moment, I've had a few trade offers.

Only mid-90's studios with the wraparounds had the tummy cut (unless you special order it, like I did on my '06). -Austin
