DaveL Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 not sure what this is due to the bad pics but it looks like a slightly buggered up 90's special http://cgi.ebay.com/Hamer-USA-Special-grea...1QQcmdZViewItem If you use the microsoft live cashback rebates here's a link It's currently only 8% but that would probably help cover shipping http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=hame...l&form=QBLH
BubbaVO Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I just had to put in a new car battery in my Pathfinder, otherwise that would fit perfectly into my bottom feeder acquisition strategy. Looks like I'm going to have to pony up some bucks to deal with an issue on my Prius and the wife's minivan is starting to fall apart. This responsibility crap is cutting into my ability to become a guitar czar. : )
seeker Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Pics aren't the best. I can't tell for sure, but looks like there's only one pup with two knobs.
DaveL Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 ouch... I didn't notice this, but it's posted at the bottom as a question for sellerQ: Hi, what's going on with the headstock? Looks like the "open book" carve is missing from the top. Can you provide detailed photos of the front and back of the headstock? Thanks! Dec-10-08 A: The carve is missing. I will send photos. The book carve was sanded to a flat arch. Ill post this on the description as well. Thanks for looking.
ajoso Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I also asked a few questions. Here are the replies:It's gloss black. The pickup is a seymor duncan humbucker, not a p 90, it has a route and originally came with a neck humbucker also. The neck is slimmer, like a gibson classic, not thin like an ibanez. The frets have wear but not worn out. It has more wear spots than overall wear, hope that helps. It still plays nice with no buzz issues. I dont actually know what kind [of pickup] it is. It has the Seymor Duncan logo on the back. It reads between 8 and 9k as i remember. It isn't a split humbucker. It has only a sheilded vintage style lead, w one conductor. Not trying to be vague but I tried several and picked this one.
