paul144 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 that intonation thumbscrew that goes in the hole in the back of each saddle?... Anyone know where I can find one?
Thundernotes Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Got pictures of another one - installed and by itself?
paul144 Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 I just found this on stewmac.com. I emailed them to see if they sell only the screw, but they're closed for the weekend..http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailp...es.html#details
mirrorimij Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I bet you could find a thumbscrew with the same thread pitch at a local hardware store.
hardheartedbill Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 you can do it by hand, you have to loosen the string a little , loosen the set screw and push, I've had 6 guitars w/ wilkies and have never used that thing
paul144 Posted December 28, 2008 Author Posted December 28, 2008 ok, thats easy enough. Thanks everyone.
AdmiralB Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Take a saddle off and go to a hardware store. Go through the socket-head cap screw drawers until you find one that fits - it'll be SAE, not metric. I wanna say 8-32, might be 6-32. Get one that's 1.25 - 1.50 inches long, there you go.That's all they are, a cap screw with a knurled plastic knob on the end. You can get by without the knob.
