RacerX Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Well, it's a brand new year! so let's try this again! Up for grabs, my 89 USA Cali. Rare factory option Jim O'Connor marble graphic finish. This is NOT like the more standard black/grey granite finish, it is hand painted faux marble. Signed and dated 89 by Jim on the back. This guitar has a warmth and vibe (yikes!) you have to see in person to believe. Typical (slim but not super skinny) Cali neck, rosewood, dots, kinda rare reverse headstock, (which everyone knows is BADASS!). Plays great, not heavy, played condition some wear and checks and nicks but with the finish you have to look to find stuff. No problems, repairs, or issues. Duncan strat and JB trembucker pups, Hamer/Floyd, black hamer tuners, nice blue gigbag. $1650.00 shipped cont/US Not really looking for trades Thanks!!! Mark. (edited for happy price change :-) )
RacerX Posted January 10, 2009 Author Posted January 10, 2009 2009 market correction bump The above pix are a little washed out, it's darker/richer in person. Here's a couple crappy shots with no flash. It's not quite that dark but you get the idea... Thanks! Mark.
mhmike Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 GOOD GRAVY I love that finish! Killer looking guitar man! Good luck with the sale.
HamStd Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 This is a super nice Cali and well worth the $$. Not to mention that RacerX does "THE BEST" sets especially on trem guitars. This is a cool cali that shreds like a monster!!!Peter
MCChris Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Damn, that one's cool, and the reverse headstock is indeed badass. Is that one of the China Club guitars?
RacerX Posted January 12, 2009 Author Posted January 12, 2009 Damn, that one's cool, and the reverse headstock is indeed badass. Is that one of the China Club guitars?Nope, wish it was. The ChapMax bass was the only piece I had from the "rock garden" sculpture at China Club. Somewhere someone MUST have a pic of that, I bearly remember it. (along with the club itself LOL!)Mark.
bubs_42 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 This is a sweet axe. I scoped it out this weekend. Any of the wear spots are smooth, not a like deep rash or anything like that, just like loving wear . Great action, and HamStd is right his setups are spot on. Good luck.
RacerX Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 Just a little reminder bump from page 3 Mark
