sw686blue Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I can't believe these photos are of the same guitar.
bubs_42 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I think the lighting makes all the differance. That one looks fantastic. Hell all three of them.
bubs_42 Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Really just dieing to know where this will end.

atquinn Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Still here. Act now, before I give in to the urge to swap the electronics into my new Studio and put the 59's back in this (of course, if I do that, the price on this will come down, so if you want to pay less and don't care about the pickups, by all means do wait ). -Austin

I want a studio but im looking for a sunburst. However if the price is right I may go ahead. Feel free to PM me the price if you do not want to post it. Thanks
atquinn Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 Nevermind. I took the Fillmores out this evening and put in the 59's I took out of my '04 Studio. Sounds so good I'm going to try like hell to keep it, even though it is slightly redundant. Egads, I'm becoming a collector! -Austin
sw686blue Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 You prefer the '59s to the Fillmores? Are you alright, man???
atquinn Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 You prefer the '59s to the Fillmores? Are you alright, man???Bizarre, I know. I had a set of Fillmores in a Mirage II and they were awesome, but I've had Seth Lovers and now 59's in chambered Studios and they just sound better than the Fillmores. clearer with more attitude and a touch less compression.-Austin
Grimm Pickins Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Ugh... I haven't even received my Newport via UPS yet, but this has my G.A.S. going... Everything posted here is nothing short of stunning... I love inlaid headstocks especially... Silk screen just doesn't make it for me, but I'll settle... for now...That blue is absolutely the nicest shade of translucent blue I've ever seen... even when I'm in a "stuck on orange" phase. Yeah, I'm one of those "weird color" guys - and black too...Best of luck!Grimm Dave
