Caddie Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Title pretty much says it. If you think your case is too beat up let me be the judge of that, get a jpg. I may still be interested.Thankscaddie
bubs_42 Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Is this the same as a Daytona case?CJ Not, exactly. But if someone has a Daytona case, i'll give up a Vintage S case that I have my Daytona in. EDIT. The Vintage S Case has a little bit of extra pad by under the Neckjoint, but is basicly the same case just slightly altered.
Caddie Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 Is this the same as a Daytona case?CJI tried the VintS in my Stra/Tele cases. Obviously the body of the VintS is smaller than the Strat body and the dimension from bottom of body to top of headstock is about 1/2 longer on the Vintage S than on the Strat. I am afraid that if I ship the VintS in a Strat case. the neck wil go SCHNEP! when the guitar shifts inside the case. Maybe I'll jist ship the body & neck separately. All that being said, still looking for a VintS case.caddie
silentman Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Caddie - I always stuff paper towels around the guitar body to prevent shifting in a case. It's always worked out for me. That being said I've nver done this with a non form fitting case. Although the old standard cases were like this and I've sent/received some of those with no issues. I believe the correct case will also fit calis and diablos since they share body dimentions.
