formula73 Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 They excel at cleans and low to medium gain stuff. The cleans, seriously, sound more authentically acoustic than a plinky piezo does. The tone is somewhere between a single and a hum...big and loud, but very precise with a biting high end and big ass. If I still had them in something, I'd try some clips. The coolest thing about them is, for instance, you get a good, snarly tone with a set of regular hums and turn up the gain, what do you get? Mud, right? These don't mud up-as a matter of fact, when you crank the gain past a certain point, you can't even tell. They're really cool but I gotta pay the bills and have boxes and boxes of pickups. Give em a try. I've got no reserve.
