Well, I had the distinct pleasure of getting to see Bill (hamer bass head), Diane (his better half), Jon Press, & the talented Laura Press last night at the Downtown in Farmingdale. Laura is obviously talented, sounded great, and had the "Laura Press" duotone out, what a beautiful instrument.

It was a real treat to get to meet some great HFCers, I had a blast, thanks guys/gals! We'll definately have to do this again.

Belew was so amazing, I would have to rank him among the top 10 musicians I have ever seen, and I have seen hundreds of professionals. He is so effortless it's scary, and his band was phenominal as well. If your jaw wasn't left hanging at this show, you must be dead. I had to leave early as the lovely Mrs. Jessica was under the weather, but I did see Elephant Talk, which was pretty cool!

Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure, they aren't pro quality but I hope you enjoy:

HFCers in da house!

He was using all Johnson modelers last time I saw him and the Bears a couple of years ago. He is beyond incredible to watch.

Last night was a lot of fun. It was nice to finally meet Craig live and in person. It is always fun to see Bill and Diane; and "that dude" that Bill didn't recognize at first was our friend Harold. For those of you who were in CT last October you will remember him as Holliann's "stunt double" who traveled with Tommy Williams and played bass at the jam.

Belew was truly amazing. We knew he was going to be since we were fortunate enough to be there for the sound check. BTW, these guys sound checked longer than a lot of acts do their show!

Thanks for taking and posting pictures Craig. Let us know if you are coming out on Friday. If you do, we will bring out "the ultimate 12 string" and you will get to see more of what Laura can do (and I guarantee you she will blow you away!!!). She will likely sing some Yes and do the scary Pink Floyd thing - including "The Great Gig in the Sky" that Floyd tribute bands skip when they do Dark side of the Moon 'cause they can't get anybody who can sing it.

Last night was the first time she worked with "Sporkfly." He called her last week for vocal support and rhythm guitar and they did one rehearsal. On Friday she will sit in with our friends with whom she has been singing for years. Oh yeah, and this band is great!

A good time was had by all.

BTW BTMN, Harold was only as lit as you can get on Coca-Cola and Adrian Belew. I think I was the only "lit" one in our crew last night. But, then again, I may be wrong 'cause I was "lit."
