jefzed Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Hi, I'm new to you board, in fact I was reading only... I wonder how much my guitar worth ? it's a '91 (serial verified with Hamer USA) black with crown inlays dual humbuckers (what's the brand ? Seymour Duncan ??) Need a good polish and a touchup paint in the back (belt buckle rubbing..) The neck has been repaired, (previous owner has sent it to a shop), I will take a picture of it. plays and sound like a Hamer should, awesome ! thanks for your help ! Jeff and sorry for my french canadian english writting
specialk Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Looks like a bound and crowned Sunburst Archtop. Is everything original, do you know? If so, the pickups are Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) and 59 (neck). In good/very good condition, I'd guess (and it is only a guess) maybe $700 to $1,000, due to the neck repair. Black is a great color for these.Any idea on the neck profile? Skinny/thin, or something else? Best of luck with it!
Siaip Ciuvas Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I have seen some in very good condition going for 800-900$.
bubs_42 Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Its really a crap shot with the 90's Sunburst. You'll get all kinds of suggestions on prices but the one thing you have going for you is everyone loves a black guitar with Crowns!
jefzed Posted November 8, 2009 Author Posted November 8, 2009 Thanks for your advices and comments I dunno about the neck profile, feels thin, easy to play I pretty sure that all the parts are originals. Here's some pics of the repaired neck and the back of the guitar. Is my hard shell case a Hamer one ? I doubt about it.
Siaip Ciuvas Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 its not original hardcase. But I agree with Bubs, black guitar with crowns looks aces!
