Elrod Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 I have aquired a Hamer USA Studio in a business trade and I am wondering of the value and age of the guitar. I love the way this guitar plays, but my wife and I have a new baby on the way and I need to sell it. If anybody could help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it. The guitars ser no. 151439 usa. I have also attached a few pics of this guitar. It is in excellent shape. No dings, scratches, buckle rash etc...

If I wanted to move this guitar in this economy do I need to post on the gear page, ebay, craiglist, etc..? What would be the best/fairest price to move this puppy.
veatch Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 You're likely to get more $$ on eBay as it is a broader market. That being said, you'll have a lot less opportunity for "drama" if you sold it here or on TGP. Just my opinion, mind you. Welcome to the board, and nice looking guitar *and* amp.

Thanks, I built the amp and Cab/ext cab myself. The amp is a freaky concoction I conjured up with an all octal 6j5 and 6sl7 preamp section, Dual 6v6 outputs, 5y3gt Rectifier, an old Triad PT and an OT from the 1950's (no idea where it came frome). It is the most amazing little amp I have ever had. I have absolutley nothing to compare it to. Very touch sensitive, creamy smooth tube drive, and a natural compression when you hit the preamp section with a tube screamer or something of like nature. I really am proud of it. I am afraid to mess with it or tinker with any more because I don't wnat to screw the perfection I have acheived.

HamerHokie Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 The good thing about this guitar is the quality of the top. Hamer generally puts a lower grade top on Studios but that one is pretty nice. I agree with the $750 start cost.
