3of5 Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Anyone have suggestions and/or tabs for acoustic songs using open E tuning. I only know Little Martha and She Talks to Angels. I'm a pretty lazy guy and so I wanted to have a couple of more songs to run through once I have my guitar tuned.

The last two are Kottke's versions. Not difficult at all. Neither is Water Song for that matter.
lesterpaul Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 I dig "Mr. Banker" by LSkynyrd..could throw in "Four Walls of RAiford"...maybe "Hats Off to Roy HArper" by Zep...or just "open" up any ol' I-IV-V blues tune(play slide with your beer bottle and hear friends ooh and aah!)

Just capo it to where your voice works, strum a rhythm, and start yelling "Freedom, Freedom. Freeedom. Freeeeeeedom. Freedom..." like Richie Havens. My folkie friends both love and hate when I do that.
