salem Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Hi. I got an e-offer from Cowtown Guitars in Las Vegas for a Victoria Bandmaster, brand new, in perfect condition for $1550. Does this sound like a good price? Supposedly, this amp breaks up early when the tone controls are turned up.What do you think?
thecajunboy Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 What do you think? I think I'd check and see if their phone number has the same area code as the one that girl from church gave you. Might be some sort of conspiracy going on.

billhart22 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Just a thought..........it maybe doesn't pertain to you. I was on EBay bidding on a Tech21 Trademark 120. I received two emails claiming to be suppliers of the same amp and made some outrageous offers to me...(free shipping and a good price). After investigating the situation, they were both fraudulant and EBay has authorities investigating them at this very moment. So my comment is...NEVER buy out of the EBay system when using EBay and know who the heck you are dealing with before buying anything from anywhere. Best Regards, Bill
JohnnyB Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Call Cowtown on the phizzone and see if the offer is real. Then take it from there.
kenjones Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 well... it's listed on their website:www.cowtownguitars.com
salem Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 I goe an e-mail from the owner, Mark Chatfield with an offer of $1550, $500 less than the competitors. What gives? I called another dealer with this offer and they said they did not know how Cowtown could do this; this price is at cost. Can someone explain?
ET_KenW Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I goe an e-mail from the owner, Mark Chatfield with an offer of $1550, $500 less than the competitors. What gives? I called another dealer with this offer and they said they did not know how Cowtown could do this; this price is at cost. Can someone explain? Two possible reasons.A) They are no longer selling the amps and want to clear space by selling at cost.B ) They order more than other dealers and get a break in price.Either way, if the amp is there at $500 less than everyone else, get it.Editted because my B came up as an emoticon.
salem Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 It's used in "brand new" condition? No, it's a brand new amp, not used.
