Brownsound Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Im looking to trade this guitar for a nice US Strat. I have several good humbucking guitars and even though this guitar has a huge tone and better sustain than most of my guitars I need a strat to round out the sound arsenal. I bought this new about 3 months ago for $1400 and have probably played it a total of 2 hours. I love the sound but I have too many guitars to play with limited time to do it. ***Got my Strat now Im still interested in Hamer with P90s or LP Junior with P90s.*** ***OK...Im willing to do a trade or trade+ cash for a Hamer USA guitar with P90s** I dont have a guitar with P90s and Im curious. Guitar is mint, no issues. Big fat neck and a beautiful sound. I have a few more pics if needed. (spot in the picture is not on the guitar its in the image) OK, Im willing to take cash too. $1100.00 firm plus shipping an Paypal fees.
Brownsound Posted August 24, 2005 Author Posted August 24, 2005 Preferably, maple fretboard. Decent single coils throughout. US made, any of the named models or a Deluxe, or a Standard too but I think the ES is worth a little more than a used Standard.
DavidE Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I'd like something like that, but I only have a USA strat with the factory JB humbucker to trade plus cash. Doesn't sound like it would meet your needs.
Brownsound Posted August 24, 2005 Author Posted August 24, 2005 They came with JBs? Is that the deluxe HSS?
Guest galejt Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 1999 Fender California Series with all parts (except tuners) replaced with Callaham.
Brownsound Posted August 25, 2005 Author Posted August 25, 2005 I dont remember the California series. Is it just a color series?
Guest galejt Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 It's not in the same league as yours. Although it is a very nice guitar. Here is a little bit of data.
DavidE Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 They came with JBs? Is that the deluxe HSS? I think it's a regular USA Fat Strat.
DavidE Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I dont remember the California series. Is it just a color series? Nice guitars with a lower price due to the finishing work done in Mexico. I imagine Jim's is really sweet with the Callaham parts.
DavidE Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 I found out that my strat has a factory pearly gates at the bridge, so I don't know what model that makes it.
Brownsound Posted August 31, 2005 Author Posted August 31, 2005 Im willing to also do a trade for a Hamer USA with P-90s depending on model straight or +cash.
copper blue Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 sounds like a Lone Star Strat....http://namm.harmony-central.com/Newp/WNAMM...star-strat.html
Guest galejt Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 I'll see your bumpage and raise you one!
Guest Buck Dharma Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Can you tell me what pickups it has? Thanks
Brownsound Posted September 11, 2005 Author Posted September 11, 2005 Can you tell me what pickups it has? Thanks Its the stock 498 and 490. They arent harsh, they are fairly hot. I would compare them to my SD Custom that I have in my R7.
eightyfour Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 I can't believe this guitar isn't sold yet, it's beautiful. Brownie, do you have this on the Gear Page, things happen pretty quick over there with used guitars?
tomteriffic Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 If LOTJ is referring to my old P-90 Special, here's a pic. The spots on the front are drop-fills in screw holes from where the idiot previous owner installed a fugly pickguard. Another, hanging with his other Special buds.
Brownsound Posted September 25, 2005 Author Posted September 25, 2005 Definitely some nice looking geetars, so the special is that there Diaperburst...hmm...how is the neck, nice and chunky?Dave
Brownsound Posted October 18, 2005 Author Posted October 18, 2005 Last bumpWould like a Hamer with P90s or an LP JR with P90s
