Toggle switch dilemma???

kurtsstuff

Question

Posted

Ok..Les Paul and for some reason that I can't seem to pinpoint

You know the trick of turning your neck pickup volume off

and flicking the toggle switch back and forth while playing on the

bridge pickup for that stutter effect? Well..Seems my bridge pickup

does not completely get out of the circuit or vice versa when in the middle position

of the toggle switch which when with the volume of the neck pickup on zero/off

there should be dead silence when the toggle switch is in the middle position but

it ain't. The volume is of course quite lower but there is still output from the guitar

and I don't know why????? looked and searched and prodded everywhere and can't firgure it out??

Help me...please somebody help me!!!!!!! lol!!!

switch the leads, pup should be on the outside, middle to the toggle.

if its this way, then the pot has a li'l bit of leakage....

fwiw, in the middle, both pups, either vol should work as a master vol, but the pup vol being turned down will not be the dominate.

Did I just type that?

Everything seems to be wired up right and I even replaced the pot...it works fine when I do it in reverse ie:

bridge pickup volume off and toggling the neck pu on and off....purplexing??
