Allman Brothers from 95

I fell in love with the album "Hittin' The Note and went on a search for more Gen 2 Allman Brothers and found 2nd Set and Where It All Begins just great albums and more guitar playing, songwritting than you could ask for.

Jam night went down in flames last spring but it was fun hitting some of the older Allman Brothers Tunes with the house band.

"Desdemona" from Hittin' the Note is one of my favorite ABB tracks of all-time. There was no letdown from ABB v1.0 to v2.0. The only thing going south in that band is probably Gregg's voice.

Don't forget to check out the Seven Turns Album as well. I'm spinning it now and it rocks and rolls.

Thanks for the links bubs! Good stuff there. My faves from this period are Old Before My Time:

That's the voice of experience, man.

And Instrumental Illness:

I never get tired of watching Derek play. Such economy of movement.

That whole album is awsome. It would be one of my Island Albums.

Wow. Although that is my favorite ABB lineup, that sounded a little amateurish to me. All a little out of tune, even Warren´s guitar, which is very surprising. A little out of sync among them, too. :(

is more as usual, which is "awesome".

LOL that is the one I ment to post but pasted the wrong link.

I just listened to Hittin' The Note after at least 6 months of ignore. I've always remembered how good Desdemona and Illness were, but I had forgotten how much I loved "Maydell". Every once in a while, a little wah wah is good for the soul.

Live at the Fillmore, however, is still my Deserted Island choice. Or is it Abbey Road? Screw it. I'm staying away from boats.
