MrGuitarguy Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I'm selling my Mirage II since it hasn't been seeing much playing time. I love the guitar, and honestly it's one of the best sounding guitars I've ever owned, but right now I'm doing a lot of acoustic gigs and need to raise money for a PA system. The guitar is all stock, complete with factory Seth Lover pickups. It's has seen little playing time in the last year or so. The guitar is in great shape (8.5/9) and has been stored in a clean, smoke free environment. The only real sign of wear is the nickel covers on the pickups, which show a little bit of age.The top looks amazing in person, my camera is not the best and doesn't quite do it justice as it is much more 3 dimensional in person. This guitar once belonged to another HFC member named "Big Cookie". That may mean something to some of you as it was regarded as being a great guitar by many here when I bought it.I have a non-original, tweed case for the guitar that I bought for it (it did not have the original case when I purchased it).I'm asking $850 shipped (in the U.S.). Feel free to email me at mrguitarguy@yahoo.com with any questions you may have. I've been on the HFC for years and have had positive transactions with all the members so I'd like to continue that trend and see the guitar end up in the hands of a fellow Hamer lover. Here are links to pictures of the guitar posted this way as a courtesy to those members who have slower internet connections:FrontClose upBackSerial
MrGuitarguy Posted September 10, 2005 Author Posted September 10, 2005 I certainly wouldn't call it thin like a shredder. It kind of reminds me of a Les Paul or Hamer Studio. Personally, I think of it as medium to thick, but not baseball bat thick. Sorry, if I'm being vague, my experiance in working in music stores for 7 years makes think everyone's opinion about the same necks varies a lot! Also I'm 6'4", have big hands and skinny little Steve Vai fingers (they don't work like his do though! ) so my perception would probably be different from someone who vaired in height, etc. I like to be as honest as possible and don't want to give an improper idea to anyone. Let's say, it reminds me of a solid LP neck that isn't slim tapered, but isn't a louisville slugger either. If that's not enough, please let me know and I'll be more descriptive.
