Regluing Tolex on a vintage amp

I have a couple of vintage Fender amps, where the edges of the Tolex covering are coming loose. I don't particularly want to buy hide glue, which is apparently what was used originally, as I hear it's messy and smells bad. Any recommendations? Also, will good ol' Elmer's Glue All work, at least for a reversible fix, without harming the Tolex underneath? TIA!

3m contact cements.

+1 on the contact cement, I've used it on many amp and case tolex tears. I've got DAP/Weldwood on my shelf, but I imagine the 3M is similarly good or better.

3M Super 77 did the trick for me on a tattered Music Man. Just let it set a bit and get a little tacky before you press the Tolex down.
