tomteriffic Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Does anybody know offhand who made the bridges for the Eclipse 12? I'm asking because a friend has a 12 with the same bridge and he's daydreaming about piezo-ing it somehow. I'd say not bloody likely, but it's his funeral, not mine.
carfish7 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I'm guessing Gotoh for that one. You can adjust each string's length individually, correct?Check this out and see if they are the same;http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailpieces/Electric_guitar,_non-trem_bridges/Gotoh_12-string_Bridge_For_Electric_Guitar.html?tab=Pictures#details
tomteriffic Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 Yup, that's the one. I would have guessed Gotoh or Schaller. Pretty ingenious design, but I don't see how my buddy is going to piezo that without some serious custom work. Thanks!
serial Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I've got a NOS Eclipse bridge FS if he's interested.
tomteriffic Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 Steve, he's got the same bridge (in gold), but I'd bet he'd have to mangle it to do what he wants with it. I'll let him know.
murkat Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I don't see how my buddy is going to piezo that without some serious custom work. Put, mount a piezo bar type under the bridge. Between bridge and body. it works
tomteriffic Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 Thanks Jay. I assume you're taking about your basic flat piezo that you'd normally find in a saddle channel?
