Expression pedals?

I see lots of gizmos these days that have expression pedal inputs. Trouble is, I never see any expression pedals out there, unless they're already attached to a Replitron 3000 Multi-Wobblefizz or some similar multi effect unit.

Are there any such animals, or do people somehow take a volume pedal and mod it or?

Guidance please? What to get? Where to get it?

I have 4 of these in use with my Axe FX,

But, I am ready to go with ernie ball jr. 25 k vol pedals.

I also have two band new Roland EV-5's as well that I do not use.... ;)

That's what i use - love those pedals - built sturdy and easy to work on.

Back when I was using a Mesa Tri-Axis, I used exactly that......Ernie Ball volume pedal........The parameters were programable so you could vary the gain or most any other part of the signal path with the pedal. For example. increase the gain for a solo, then back it off in between. Or change the EQ. And you could set different variables as adjustable on different patches.

I actually used one that way and a second for a straight volume control.

No mods required---Just plugged it in (after programming the unit itself).

I am way behind that curve,,,,Much more can be done these days,
