Drop-in locking tuners for Phantom GT?

I'm tired of lock nuts. Is there a brand of locking tuners that is a direct replacement with no modifications for Phantom GT's?

Schaller locking tuners should work - pretty sure.

Schaller locking tuners are only available with the offset screw layout in the US. Europeans can get the parallel screw design, but most Hamers have the parallel screw hole. You might be able to get Grovers or Gotoh tuners, Sperzels have the pins (like Fender ping tuners) instead of the usual screw design.

Mine has mini-Hamerlock tuners already as well as the lock-nut. Hamerlock tuners are Schallers (mini in this case) with a little lock wheel in the top of the post.

There is a small chance that you could get a set of these and they would fit perfectly and be correct.

Ahhh jeeze, leave it to Andrew to constantly surprise me with Hamer shit I've never heard of.

Could you get a pic of these and also tell us what other Hamers would these be found on?

Will take a photo tomorrow in daylight.

Might be found on any 83-85 six-in-line headstock but I've not seen many.

Sperzels are now available in an "EZ-mount", which has no pin at all. They're the greatest thing since sliced bread, as aligning the tuners can be done precisely - get them lined up, screw in the nut to half-tension, make some small adjustments, screw it home.

Nothing but Sperzels for me. I custom order my sets with specific post heights straight from Sperzel; got my 4th set in as many months today.

Ugh, I didn't realize how much I didn't know about lutherie. I ordered some Schallers before I read the post about the parallel screw design. I now have a spare set for the parts drawer.

I guess my first choice would be the parallel Schallers, but I can't figure out how to get them, or the model #.

I would settle for the Sperzels with EZ mount, but I would need to know 1) if they need to have staggered heights or some custom height, and 2) if there is indeed a drop in solution, what's the model #.

I do really appreciate the help! I wish I had any type of expertise to offer back.

staggered is stock and works just fine. I custom order all short posts because I'm anal about break angle over the nut. Call up Sperzel and just ask for a set of 6 inline Trim-Lok tuners with the EZ-Mount option. Costs $65. I'll post pics tonight; I installed a set on my TLE with the same style headstock. The ONLY tool required was a socket wrench.

I think this tuner setup is a lot cleaner and does have a better break angle over the nut:
