Non Cali shaped Nocturne

I present my take on Grover's Kelly design.

Mahogany body with a quilted maple top (faux binding ala Mr Smith), 3pc maple neck with a cocobolo board and 6000 Dunlop wire - 25.5" scale over 24 frets. The bridge is Schaller's 3D matched to a set of M3 minis. Bridge pick up is a Baker ACT which takes your head off coupled to GFS in the neck which compliments well.

This isn't a customers build but will eventually go to Marshall after daddy's had a play around to see if i can get used to the way these things play 'all over that way' standing up.

Oh, just to note that my graphics guy appears to have taken the company Konica away on holiday with him so these shots are with my little Sony Cybershot hence they're not quite as sharp as usual.

Enjoy:

Where are you getting your Black Schaller buttons from - I'm having to make do with Chrome ones... I could only find one Black on in stock when I looked the other day!

The scraped edge is very nice - thats always been a nice way to do 'binding'

ah god, usual retailers, and in the end I tagged a couple of buttons on to an Amazon order for some other stuff.

The best one I saw was Button £1.50 each, shipping £8.95 - superb... I'm in the wrong business!

Where you were playing is about 15 miles from where my folks moved to ! - I can have imagined how well the old Marks and Sparks Jumper would have gone down with the Bikers!

- on the other hand, I reckon they would have had a lovely time!
