Very early Hamer logo without USA?

Are there early Hamers with logo not containing the U.S.A. addendum? Or, is that simply a sign of a repro' decal.

Would be talking first 1/2 of 1977. Before they completed even a mere 100 guitars? Wondering. This has the tail on the R curling around and up into the area we would expect the U.S.A. I know I should post a photo. Maybe check the archival descripts.

THANKS for any information!

Andrew,

Yes! That is the logo in that factory trio photo, precisely. Do we have a higher res' photo of that shot?

Bubs_,

Yep! I know 7 0037 has U.S.A. too. This one would be an earlier one. I saw 7 0012 has the U.S.A. as well. It appears there's not much 'rhyme or reason' to when these appear. As one said before, maybe they just grabbed what they had for any given day, and worked with that.

And less uncommon is the 'Kramer' logo. I've seen a lot of those in the past. Lol!!!

My 1976 Standard has the "USA" on it, as do most (if not all) early Standards I've seen that predate Sunbursts, but anything is possible, I suppose.

Weird that only the curly tail R Sunbursts lack the USA. I have seen a curly tail R logo on a Standard with the USA (in Rick Nielsen's book I think). My post above assumed we were talking Sunbursts and not Standards!

Ok. I have just seen examples of the exact logo at the 'Rick's Picks' exhibit in Rockford. The most notable being his 0004 Standard. I've got a photo. I also saw another variation I believe Andrew touched on. It is the curly R, with a very small USA just outside. I want to say it was on the Sunburst prototype there. I may be wrong on that though. Maybe I got that photo as well. Should have taken more, but was a bit distracted hanging out with RN, and PH!!! An awesome afternoon : )
