There is a fairly good amount of difference between the various Monaco models. Even more so if they are custom orders.

Without knowing specifics, $1200 is generally not bad price for an Elite in excellent shape. The other would presumably be a dealer with a new guitar still in stock, a higher cost custom order or just someone with an over inflated sense of value.

Best to be sure of exactly what you are looking at-----And what you want---Before jumping.

The elite price is about what I paid recently (GC still has the elite I returned as of last look).

The SuperPro sounds a little high to me. I thought I'd seen them sell used in the $1200-$1400 range recently. Even Guitar Center has one for $1800. Is the one you saw maybe new?

At those prices, the Elite is reasonable, the SP maybe not.

For a high quality guitar, the Hamer is a good way to go. There are also many great quality guitars available (sporting good full size HBs, without the "H" on the headstock) for under $1,000 these days. I know from experience of owning too many.......

If looking seriously at the Elite, think in the general ballpark of a Les Paul for equivalence. (Yeah, I know! Nothing else IS a Les Paul. But the Elite is almost certainly a better quality instrument than most Gibson LPs you will find in that price range).
