no.. sorry... i meant the korean Hamer Slammer Series.... i don't think they make them any more? I own 2 and they are superb, very high quality for a korean guitar and good for the price too!

There was a transition period (not sure how long it was) where the headstock said "Hamer" big with "Slammer Series" smaller under it. These were Korean.

I have 3 Koreans that Just say Hamer on them....a Stellar1, and SATF and a STNDF.

Also there is one of those transition guitars on Ebay right now:

Oh, so the XT series is made in korea? I've read somewhere that the XT series is made in china, and the slammers by hamer are made in indonesia? am i wrong?

I have a centaura slammer series like the one C1 is describing. I like the pickups, but the wiring, kobs and tuners suck. One day I'll upgrade them and it will be a nice guitar for the $45 I paid for it.

Thanks. I own 3 Koreans and was under the impression they were still made there.

To clarify:

XT=China

Slammer=Indonesia

No Hamers currently being made in Korea to the best of my knowledge.

They make a few in New Hartford, CT though...

I'll be the first to admit when I'm wrong. I'm no expert but I am an enthusiast. Thanks for letting me know too.

Also, I'm not knocking the Slammers. They are great guitars for the money.

I can tell you about my Koreans

2003 Purple SATF - Has "Sunburst Flametop" inscribed on the truss rod cover, Hamer humbuckers, has made in korea stamped on the back of the headstock but the serial number is on a sticker.

My Standard and Stellar have nothing on the truss rod cover and have Duncan Designed humbuckers and have both the serial number and made in korea stamped on the back of the headstock.

They all just say "Hamer" on the headstock.

All three are excellent players, candidates for electronics upgrades. Great looking finishes, solid construction. Set necks.

I was looking at that one but couldn't afford the shipping to the US. Nice guitar.
