Hamerhack Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Nice.Gotta get out the acoustic and play it!
Thundernotes Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Nice! I already grabbed the acoustic and played it too! Might add that one to my solo repertoire. Gotta warm up before singing it though
tomteriffic Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 We do it pretty regularly, with a goofy little segue in and out of "Midnight Rider". That Drop D is a nice touch. I'll have to see if we can work that in without the bassist and I stepping on each other.
specialk Posted November 17, 2013 Author Posted November 17, 2013 We do it pretty regularly, with a goofy little segue in and out of "Midnight Rider". Post a clip of it if you can, I'd like to hear it. The segue sounds like a cool idea.
Thundernotes Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 I think that's actually drop C - the whole guitar seems to be down a step
tomteriffic Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Aaah, OK. We do it out of D, so the full guitar drop wouldn't be necessary.SpecialK I'll see what I can do about getting that recorded.
Thundernotes Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Works out perfectly on my 12-string though. I keep that down a step normally, so a little tweak and I'm ready to go
tomteriffic Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Hmmm, Since Most Esteemed Redhead sings it, it's not an issue. But I usually take along an Ovation 1778T "longneck", so I'm ready, especially if I wear my tiny underwear.
