which Tubes ?

Its time for me to think about retubing in a big way , so I'm interested in opinions on preffered brands and where youve gotten yours . Ive been using jjs for 6l6 , 6v6 and winged "c" for el 34s . brands vs quality seem to very over time and since I havent bought new ones in a couple of years I m wondering what are the best at this time ( I did notice winged "c"/ sed has doubled in price recently??? )I need :2 pr of 6v6s , 2pr 6L6 ,a quad set of el34 ,a pr of el84. I'm also looking for a source for nos 6sl7/5691 and a bunch of other odd ball old preamp tubes. any suggestions ?( other than axfx & kemper please, not a hater just dont have either )

For the 6V6, all I use are either NOS RCAs or old USA made "pulls" ...used tubes that test as new. You can get these fairly cheap. I need so El 84s myself......

I like NOS JAN (Military Spec) Philips/ECG 6L6 GTB tubes in my 6L6 amps. I've been using them for years, and they haven't let me down yet. They probably aren't getting any cheaper to buy, though.

winged c's for el 34 all the way.

I avoid JJ's like the plauge. I do not care for them at all.

Have had great results with TAD's as well, great results.
